An unexpected call!!

 Today, the unexpected unfolded. A voice, slightly deepened by time, resonated after a fourteen-year silence. The feeling was indescribable, a strange blend of familiarity and something… else. Was it genuine emotion, or was I simply losing touch with my capacity to feel as the years passed?

The conversation itself demanded my focus. I couldn't help but ponder the "what ifs" – how much more I might have learned had things taken a different path. But destiny, it seems, had other plans. Detachment, a harsh lesson life repeatedly imparts, is a necessary practice. This encounter serves as another test, a chance to avoid past missteps.



Acceptance, not expectation, is the key. Yet, this unexpected call feels miraculous, a reminder that life can hold astonishing surprises.

I'm ready to see what the future holds.

Mile Sur Mera tumhara

Hi Readers, This song " Mile sur mera tumhara" used to be my favorite song in childhood. People born in 80's and 90's would remember the song being telecast-ed in DoorDashan. Even though I did not knew which lines belong to which region and language, I used to remember whole of the song. Though, I might not pronounce whole of it correctly, I could get the lyrics correct.  Only thing that disappointed me was the Odia part was presented by tribal people. My disappointment was because people of other region were shown in their traditional attires, and Odisha is also recognized for its hand-loom and typical way of draping saree. Then why they had to choose tribal people with a bamboo hat. It is also not that majority of Odia belongs to tribal community. I have shared the image for Odia below. Sage Mudgalasya

Hi Readers, I also searched for Sage Mudgalasya after whom my pre-marital Gotra was named. I got one interesting story, that speaks about equanimity of mind. Here, is the story for you. Sage Mudgal was a very pious soul. He had taken a vow and accordingly would pick up for support grains left on field by men after had gathered and carried away the sheaves. In a fortnight he would collect about 32kg of grains. Thereafter he used to perform sacred Yajna, give food to Brahmins and himself take the food that remained after the deities and the guests had eaten. On Amavasya (No moon day) and poornima (full moon day this was a usual practice. For fifteen days he would toil hard to earn his living and that earning was judiciously used in the yajna. In serving the guests and savoring the same as Prasad. Even the gods extolled him greatly. Insult and pangs of hunger agitate even great persons. But sage Mudgal always remained calm and peaceful.
